Hamburger Sparkasse (Haspa) and Marathon Hamburg Veranstaltungs GmbH are continuing their partnership in the Haspa Marathon Hamburg until 2026, plus an option for a further two years. This extends the commitment of Hamburger Sparkasse as main sponsor and title partner of Germany’s largest and fastest spring marathon, which has been in place since 2011, by at least four years.
“With the extension of our commitment, the people of Hamburg can look forward to a great Haspa Marathon in the coming years as well. This top event is an ideal fit for us as Hamburger Bank. It appeals to the entire city – both the runners and the many hundreds of thousands of spectators who cheer on their friends and family along the route,” said Dr. Harald Vogelsang, Haspa Board Spokesman, explaining this decision. The Haspa Marathon is a great family reunion for us and our customers, which we continue to support with great conviction. Since 2011, we have put a lot of energy into this event and, together with the organizer, have developed many new formats such as the relays and the half marathon,” Dr. Harald Vogelsang continued.
Marathon chief organizer Frank Thaleiser adds, “After the difficult period of pandemic restrictions for all involved and the subsequent highly successful recent event edition in April, the continuation of our cooperation is not only an expression of great trust and respect, but also a strong signal for continued creative and close cooperation for mutual success. We are very much looking forward to it.”
