Can’t participate in the Haspa Marathon Hamburg 2025? No problem!
With us, you have the opportunity to easily transfer your marathon, half marathon, or relay spot to another person. We will show you step by step how it works:
Find a replacement participant
Before you can transfer your spot, you need to find a replacement.
💡 Tip: Use official platforms such as the Haspa Marathon Hamburg 2025 Facebook event or other running forums to connect with interested runners and find a suitable successor.
⚠️ Important: Check if the person is registered on our participant list. This can help avoid potential fraud cases. However, please note that we cannot guarantee that no fraud will occur.

Your spot transfer will then be done easily through your user account.
Create a user account
You need a user account to transfer your spot. If you don’t have one yet, you can set it up easily:
- Create an account: Register on our website and create an account. ➡️ Create user account here
- Share your username: Send us your username via email (service@marathonhamburg.de) so that we can link your account to your registration.
Transfer process:
- Log in: Sign into your user account on the event website.
- Start the transfer: Enter the replacement participant’s email address and confirm the transfer.
- Cancel extras: Any additional services already booked (e.g., medal engraving, event shirt, photo package) will be automatically canceled and refunded – excluding donations and insurance.
What happens for the replacement participant
After the transfer is successful, the replacement participant will receive a voucher code by email. This code allows them to register for the marathon, half marathon, or relay without paying the regular entry fee. Instead, only a transfer fee will be charged:
- 21 € for the marathon
- 15 € for the half marathon
⚠️ Note: The payment of the original entry fee should be settled between you and the replacement participant.
Info for Relays
The transfer is only necessary if the team captain is changed.
You can directly change the other team members through your user account without additional effort.
