The Köhlbrandbrückenlauf on 3 October 2016 is one of the highlights of the fall running season in Hamburg. Germany’s largest bridge race is an out-and-back course of 12 kilomters and up to 53m altitude on the highest point. From the top of Hamburg’s famous landmark you have the chance to oversee the port area and the city’s skyline from a totally different point of view. The race aims at fun runners as well as competitive athletes.
This year, the bridge race will be held as a special symbol in solidarity with Ecuador, in light of the earthquakes that struck the country this April. Therefore, we are introducing the initiative “Bridge EU-LAC/Puente EU-LAC 2016 – For Ecuador” with the EU, Latin America and Caribbean (EU-LAC) Foundation.
Another novelty this year will be the third start time at the race. So far, the 12 PM start is sold out, start slots are avaliable for the 3 PM start and the new 9 AM start.
If you haven’t signed up already, hurry up and get it done by August 3rd as the registration fee will increase by midnight. To find out more about the race, visit Köhlbrandbrückenlauf!
