Accreditation / handout starting documents

The starting documents will be handed out at the Marathon Hamburg Expo 2025 in the Hamburg Messe (exhibition hall A3).

Further information will be provided well ahead of the event.

Arrival Start / Finish Area

Due to nearly no parking facilities around the event area as well as numerous road closures we strongly recommend using public transport (U/S-Bahn) to travel to or from the course as well as the event area or the exhibition.

The best way to reach the start and finish area is by subway line S1/U3 to Sternschanze.  Near to the start and finish area are also located
the stations Exhibition Halls (U2) and Stephansplatz (U1).
The regional railways RB 61, RB 71, RE 7 and RE 70 stop at Dammtorbahnhof.

Start time: The start for marathon runners and relay teams is at 09:30.
Starting line-up: You can join the starting line-up from 08:00.

Team Ranking

The three fastest female and male runners from a club, team, or similar group will automatically be considered for the team ranking. There will be separate rankings for women’s, men’s, and mixed teams. A separate team registration is not required. To be ranked as a team, all team members must specify the agreed-upon team name in identical spelling during their registrations.

Timekeeping at the Haspa Marathon Hamburg is exclusively done via a ‘mika tag’ on the back of the bib number. Please cross the contact mats laid out on the course as well as at the start and finish to enable error-free timekeeping. Only if all contact mats are crossed a net running time can be determined. It is not possible to use the ChampionChip.

Toilets / Restrooms

Portable toilets will be available at the starting area, the Athletes Area as well as at every km along the way. We strongly ask you to use only these facilities, even if you have to wait for a longer time. Please spread out when lining up for the toilets to shorten wait times.

CAUTION: Unfortunately, the past has shown that numerous participants repeatedly do not adhere to this rule. Due to the requirements of the police and the numerous complaints of the residents, we want to advise you that public urinating is a regulatory offense. Anyone who does not comply with this rule can expect a police complaint!
