Accreditation / handout starting documents

The starting documents will be handed out at the Marathon Hamburg Expo 2024 at the Hamburg Messe. Further information follows.

Arrival Start / Finish Area

Due to nearly no parking facilities around the event area as well as numerous road closures we strongly recommend using public transport (U/S-Bahn) to travel to or from the course as well as the event area or the exhibition.

The best way to reach the start and finish area is by subway line S1/U3 to Sternschanze.  Near to the start and finish area are also located
the stations Exhibition Halls (U2) and Stephansplatz (U1).
The regional railways RB 61, RB 71, RE 7 and RE 70 stop at Dammtorbahnhof.

This ranking does not require an explicit registration. But all team members have to provide the same team name (with identical spelling) when they sign in.

Timekeeping

Timekeeping at the Haspa Marathon Hamburg is exclusively done via a ‘mika tag’ on the back of the bib number. Please cross the contact mats laid out on the course as well as at the start and finish to enable error-free timekeeping. Only if all contact mats are crossed a net running time can be determined. It is not possible to use the ChampionChip.

Toilets / Restrooms

Portable toilets will be available at the starting area, the Athletes Area as well as at every km along the way. We strongly ask you to use only these facilities, even if you have to wait for a longer time. Please spread out when lining up for the toilets to shorten wait times.

CAUTION: Unfortunately, the past has shown that numerous participants repeatedly do not adhere to this rule. Due to the requirements of the police and the numerous complaints of the residents, we want to advise you that public urinating is a regulatory offense. Anyone who does not comply with this rule can expect a police complaint!
