Can’t participate in the Haspa Marathon Hamburg? No problem!
With us, you have the opportunity to easily transfer your marathon, half marathon, or relay spot to another person. We will show you step by step how it works:

1. Find a Replacement Participant

Before you can transfer your spot, you need to find a replacement.

💡 Tip: Use official platforms such as the Haspa Marathon Hamburg 2026 Facebook event or other running forums to connect with interested runners and find a suitable successor.
⚠️ Important: Check if the person is registered on our participant list. This can help avoid potential fraud cases. However, please note that we cannot guarantee that no fraud will occur.

Your spot transfer will then be done easily through your user account.

2. Transferring Your Entry

There are two ways to transfer your starting place for the Haspa Marathon Hamburg. We recommend using a user account, as it gives you permanent access to all your registrations for the Haspa Marathon Hamburg and allows you to manage changes easily.

Option A: Transfer Using a User Account

With a user account, you can transfer your starting place and benefit from additional features in the long term:

• Your personal details are automatically pre-filled for future registrations
• Your participation history in the Haspa Marathon Hamburg is saved
• You can update your estimated finish time and book or change additional services
• You can view the status of your registration at any time

How to set up your user account (if you do not already have one):

1. Create an account: Register on our website and create a user account. ➡️ Create a user account here

2. Send us your username: Email your username to service@marathonhamburg.de so we can link your account to your registration.

Transfer process:

• Log in: Sign in to your user account on the event website.
• Start the transfer: Enter the email address of the replacement participant and confirm the transfer.
• Cancellation of extras: Any additional services already booked (e.g. medal engraving, event shirt, photo package) will be automatically cancelled and refunded. Donations and insurance products are excluded from refunds.

Option B: Transfer Without a User Account (“Manage Registration”)

Alternatively, you can access and manage your registration without a user account using the “Manage Registration” function.

This allows you to:

• Transfer your starting place
• Update your estimated finish time
• Add additional services

To access your registration, you will need:

• The email address used for your original registration
• Your Registration ID

You can find your Registration ID in the confirmation email you received after completing your registration.

💡 Tip: If you plan to make changes to your registration more often or intend to participate in future Haspa Marathon Hamburg events, creating a user account is the more convenient option.

Info for Relays

The transfer is only necessary if the team captain is changed.
You can directly change the other team members through your user account without additional effort.
For changing the relay team captain, please contact service@marathonhamburg.de by email.
